How accurate are the cut lengths?

Actual cut lengths with a standard tolerance is 1% - 2% of the target length. This is a common level of precision with most textile materials such as webbing, cord, and ribbons which can stretch, slip, roll, compress or shrink during the measuring process. In some cases, changes in humidity or temperature can cause materials to change length.

Occasionally the tolerance can be improved by running the material slower, or using additional equipment. This increases both the risk, cost, and waste factor of the job and is priced accordingly.
